Writing as Initiation

As part of my MA dissertation, I am researching Writing as a form of Initiation. The traditional  initiation rite follows the severance-sacred world-return structure. I have been devising workshops that echo this cycle through writing, movement, reflection and sharing. My intention is to offer spaces in which people can unearth desire, wisdom and insight through word and body. The first workshop was held in Epping forest.
